National Conservation Convention Volunteer

Help Welcome 300 Conservation Leaders to Minnesota

About the Izaak Walton League of America

The Izaak Walton League of America is one of the nation's oldest and most respected conservation organizations. For more than 100 years, League members have worked to conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural resources.

Today, more than 40,000 members across the country volunteer their time to improve water quality, restore habitat, educate future generations, advance outdoor ethics, and protect the places that make America special.

About the Convention

From July 16–18, 2026, the Minnesota Division of the Izaak Walton League will host the League's National Convention in Bloomington, Minnesota.

More than 300 conservation leaders, volunteers, and advocates from across the United States will gather to share ideas, celebrate success stories, learn from one another, and help shape the future of grassroots conservation.

This is one of the largest conservation gatherings in America and a rare opportunity for Minnesota to showcase its leadership, innovation, and commitment to conservation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help welcome attendees and support convention activities throughout the event.

No prior experience with the Izaak Walton League is required. If you care about conservation, environmental stewardship, outdoor recreation, wildlife, clean water, or simply want to help support an important national event, we would love to have you join us.

Volunteers may assist with:

  • Registration and attendee check-in
  • Greeting and welcoming guests
