About the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA)
The Izaak Walton League of America is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected conservation organizations. For more than a century, the League’s 40,000 members have worked to conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our nation’s natural resources.

About the 2026 IWLA National Conference
In July 2026, the Minnesota Division of the IWLA will proudly host the National Convention in Bloomington, Minnesota. More than 300 representatives from across the country will gather to celebrate conservation achievements, exchange ideas, and shape the future of environmental stewardship in America.

About the Host Committee
The Minnesota Division’s Host Committee leads the planning and coordination for this national event, supported by volunteer teams focused on marketing, logistics, hospitality, sustainability, youth engagement, and recognition. Each volunteer contributes to making the 2026 conference an inspiring and seamless experience for every attendee.

Your Role: Graphic Designer
As a Graphic Designer, you’ll use your creative skills to visually share the mission of the Izaak Walton League and the excitement of hosting a national conservation conference in Minnesota. You’ll design engaging visuals for digital and print use — including social media graphics, event signage, volunteer materials, and sponsor recognition — ensuring a unified and professional visual identity for the conference.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing materials for social media, email campaigns, and printed collateral.

  • Creating signage, banners, and name tags for the July 2026 conference.

  • Collaborating with the Marketing & Outreach Team to maintain a consistent visual brand.

  • Preparing files for both digital and print distribution.

  • Supporting real-time design needs during the conference week as able.

Time Commitment:

  • Light involvement through 2025, averaging 3–5 hours per month remotely.

  • Increased engagement from March to July 2026 as the event approaches.

  • Optional onsite participation during the third week of July 2026 in Bloomington, Minnesota, for event setup and support.

Ideal for:
Volunteers with design experience who are passionate about conservation and want to use their creative talents for a national environmental cause. Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is helpful but not required.

Your designs will help bring the 2026 IWLA National Conference to life — inspiring engagement, strengthening visibility, and visually expressing the League’s enduring mission to protect and enjoy our natural world.
