About Us
The Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is a 100% volunteer-run community of conservationists, creatives, and nature lovers. We steward native acreage along the Minnesota River and run programs like the nationally recognized Green Crew youth leadership initiative, the Kouba Gallery, and the Young IKE podcast. Together, we protect nature, build community, and have fun doing it.
The Opportunity
Help us celebrate the people who make conservation happen! The Volunteer Recognition Champion highlights volunteers’ stories, helps plan appreciation events, and spreads gratitude throughout our community.
What You’ll Do

Share volunteer highlights on social media or in newsletters.

Help plan an annual volunteer appreciation event.

Find fun, creative ways to say “thank you.”
What We’re Looking For

Creative, enthusiastic communicator.

Some social media or writing experience a plus.

About 3–5 hours per month, flexible and seasonal.
