Who We Are

The Minnesota Valley Chapter is a welcoming community of nature lovers, conservationists, and everyday people who believe in the power of working together to protect the natural world. We are part of the Izaak Walton League of America, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected conservation organizations.

Our Mission
Our mission is to conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural resources. We carry this out through environmental education, hands-on conservation service, and stewardship of native acreage along the bluffs of the Minnesota River.

What We Do

Environmental Education & Service:
We host volunteer projects and programs that bring people together to restore habitats, protect water, and learn about conservation.

Green Crew:
Our award-winning youth leadership program, recognized nationally and internationally, empowers young people to design and lead meaningful conservation projects.

Kouba Gallery:
We explore the connection between art and nature, using creativity to deepen appreciation for the environment.

Young IKE Podcast:
We support youth voices through a podcast that shares fresh perspectives on conservation challenges and solutions.

Our Community
At our core, we are a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental group of activists, neighbors, and friends. Whether planting trees, hosting an art opening, or paddling the river, we come together to make a difference—and to have fun doing it. Join us, and you’ll find a community that values passion, collaboration, and the joy of caring for the Earth.
