Description

As a Bellis volunteer Classroom Speaker, you share your personal adoption or foster care connection—your story belongs and has a voice with the Bellis Classroom Outreach program. In a panel of three, including a trained facilitator, your story connects with and inspires high school students who can help transform societal perceptions of adoption and foster care. Your personal storytelling will touch hearts and help effect change, such as greater awareness and more sensitive language. By educating young people, Bellis strives to create a better informed, more understanding and compassionate culture for those whose lives are touched by adoption or foster care. We ask speakers to present up to three times a year, with a time commitment of 2-3 hours per presentation.

Learn more about what is involved for volunteers in this role at our upcoming training, conducted on Microsoft Teams. Attendance at a training is not a commitment to volunteers -- join us to find out if it's a right fit for you.
