The 2019 NAMI Minnesota State Conference: Advancing Equity will be held Nov. 2, at the St. Paul RiverCentre. Keynote speakers include Dr. Amit Sood and Dr. Joi Lewis. The conference is sponsored in part by Medica, Accra Care, MN DHS Behavioral Health Division, Minnesota Autism Center, Greater Minnesota Family Services, the Minnesota Psychiatric Society - Minnesota Mental Health Community Foundation, Radias Health, DBT & EMDR Specialists, Behavior Therapy Solutions of Minnesota, Lifeworks, Accend Services, and Vail Place.
Breakouts: this year's conference will feature 18 breakout sessions, with sessions for professionals, individuals living with mental illnesses, family members, advocates, and students.
CEUs: The 2019 NAMI Minnesota State Conference has been approved for 5 CEU hours for social workers by the Minnesota Board of Social Work; LPCs, LPCCs, and LADCs by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy; LMFTs by the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy; and LNHAs by the Minnesota Board of Nursing Home Administrators. This event has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing's continuing education requirements as well as the DHS continuing education requirements for Certified Peer Specialists. It is the individual licensee's responsibility to ensure that this event meets their continuing education requirements.
Cost: registration is $65 for members, $100 for non-members, or $35 for students. Lunch is included.
