Volunteer Training
Over 40 volunteers are needed for each tournament, including; referees, judges, tech support, tournament set-up and tear-down. These volunteers make it happen! We have free training for all judges and referees. Join this fantastic group of people and be inspired by the kids in your neighborhood.
We work hard within Minnesota to develop an interest and ability in kids that live here. Every year, over 700 volunteers reach children at an age when they make decisions (grades 3 - 9) that will impact their ability to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and careers, and enable these future citizens to be technologically literate.
We have many volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule, for a half day commitment or more:
- FIRST Lego League Judge: for robot design, programming, research or teamwork
- FIRST Lego League Referee
- Tournament event volunteer: Load in, Load out, Team check in, Merchandise Sales
- FIRST Lego League Coach or Mentor
