Who We Are

CLC promotes the legal and human rights of our community’s foster children. Expert staff and volunteer attorneys will represent over 900 abused and neglected children this year. Our team advocates for children’s rights and guide youth in child protection, ages 10-21, through the complicated foster care system. By providing these children with legal representation, they are empowered to share their voice in the courtroom and gain access to a consistent and trusting adult.

What We Do

The core work of CLC is to recruit, train and mobilize volunteer attorneys to represent and support foster care youth during their time in the child protection system. Our growing team of over 340 volunteer attorneys provide pro bono legal representation and spend approximately 20-24 hours annually on a typical case.
