Who We Are

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system.  ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis.  There is no known cause or cure for ALS.  People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

Our vision is to create a world without ALS.

Our mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

What We Do

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.  Our work is funded by individual donations and the money raised by our special events.
