Who We Are
Hospice Care isn’t a place but a philosophy of care. Hospice care offers comfort care. At Fairview Homecare and Hospice we care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their caregivers. We focus on living with dignity. Hospice care is provided by a team of professionals and volunteers. The Hospice care team is committed to making the end-of-life transition easier and more peaceful by surrounding patients with love and understanding of what they are going through. We bring these services to the familiar setting of your own home whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.

Do you enjoy listening to stories, reminiscing or reading? Do you like to sing or play music? Do you have that special gift of sitting quietly with others? Do you feel like it is time to do something for another person and make a difference? If you answered yes to ANY of these questions we invite you to explore volunteering with Fairview Hospice.
Our volunteers bring comfort and understanding by being present, holding a hand and lending an ear. Volunteers encourage patients and families to engage in life review and storytelling. Volunteers provide breaks for caregivers or may run errands for a patient.
There are many skills and talents that our volunteers use to support patients and families at end of life. All it takes is the desire and willingness make a connection.
Fairview Homecare and Hospice is in need of volunteers in and around the twin cities. Our service are includes the 16 county metro area.
