Who We Are

Junior Achievement North – Junior Achievement North (JA) prepares young people with the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. Our programming addresses the skills, wealth, and opportunity gaps our communities are facing. JA programs are taught in more than 500 schools in Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin and serve over 100,000 students a year.

Through age-appropriate, experiential curricula, JA programs prepare young people to live choice-filled lives. JA programs focus on middle and high school grades, setting students up for their future and teaching them how to succeed in the global economy. JA empowers students to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world – enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.

What We Do

Each year, JA partners with over 7,000 volunteers, many of them business professionals, to deliver our fun, hands-on programs. Volunteers serve as role models while sharing their personal and professional experiences to open a window to the world outside the classroom. Our opportunities are flexible and rewarding, with events happening nearly every day of the school year. We’ll work with you to find the opportunity that’s right for you and your busy schedule. JA volunteers can commit as an individual, or with a group. Some of our group experiences include JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and 3DE!
