Who We Are

The Good Neighbor Center is a non-profit tutoring and mentoring program that is grounded in the belief that knowledge is power, and that young people people can be empowered through learning and education. We believe that education is the best way to break the cycle of poverty. All are welcome here.

What We Do

Good Neighbor Center holds programming for young people in grades K-12 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We provide a warm dinner to the program participants, their families, and volunteers at 6:30pm. Tutoring officially begins at 7pm and goes until 8:30pm.

Young people are encouraged to bring their homework to work on. If they don't have any homework, we have supplies and activities available, including workbooks, art supplies, flashcards, books, and computers for volunteers to use with the young people.
