Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes, we organize thousands of volunteers to clean and refurbish them, and then we give them away to kids in need.
Each year, the first Saturday in October, we collect thousands of bikes. Because of the work of our amazing volunteers, we expect to process almost 5,000 bikes this year.
Volunteer shifts are 2.5-3 hours and run every weekday and Saturdays. See our calendar for details.
This is a great opportunity for individuals or groups and, with chaperones, it is an excellent volunteer opportunity for youth over the age of 12.
