Who We Are
The idea for the Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl was born out of a shared passion for art and community. Cathlin McKenzie-Larsen, a local artist
envisioned a platform where art could serve as a bridge, connecting people from all walks of life while bringing more art into our communities.
Three local women responded to Cathlin’s social media inquiry for interest. From there, The Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl was born. “Our goal was to create a unique event that would not only showcase local talent but also foster a sense of unity and belonging among participants and
attendees,” shared Cathlin.
Our journey began with four passionate women, each bringing her own set of skills and experiences to the table. “We were driven by a common desire to make creativity accessible to everyone and give our community a common language over which to
bond, the language of art,” said local artist and board vice president, Alyssa Boldischar.
Despite having no initial funding, the determination was unwavering. “We relied on our collective energy and resourcefulness to turn our dream into reality, a grassroots endeavor at its definition,” relayed treasurer Sharon Neylon. And the event has blossomed from there!
