Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)

Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or LLS) is a nonprofit organization focused on helping people affected by leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers. Our mission is to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We do this in three main ways: Fund Research Invest in blood cancer research to develop new treatments and cures. Support advancements in areas such as immunotherapy, precision medicine, and survivorship. Have invested more than $2 billion in blood cancer research since their founding. Support Patients and Families Provide free one-on-one support through oncology social workers, nurses, and information specialists. Offer educational resources, treatment information, support programs, and financial assistance. Help patients and caregivers navigate diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Advocate for Better Care Work at the state and federal levels to improve access to affordable, high-quality healthcare and lifesaving treatments. Advocate for increased cancer research funding and patient-friendly healthcare policies. Community Engagement Blood Cancer United also brings people together through programs and events such as: Light The Night Big Climb Visionaries of the Year Student Visionaries of the Year Support groups and educational programs for patients and caregivers. We cover the Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota and work alongside other areas around the country who also work for Blood Cancer United.
