Buildrs Nation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity (effective
March 22, 2026) putting professional AI tools into the hands of K-8 kids
in North Minneapolis so they can build their own apps, games, storybooks,
and business plans. Kids are the builders — we're the workshop. We're not
running an AI class; we're a build shop with K-8 kids as the founders.
Our upcoming summer pilot serves 30 enrolled families at Phyllis Wheatley
Community Center, mostly Black families in zip codes 55411 and 55412 —
where we fill the gap between basic digital literacy and what kids can
actually MAKE with AI tools.
We are an approved member of the Anthropic Claude Partner Network. Our
mentor-led program model is mapped to 100% of Minnesota K-8 Computer
Science standards, all 7 ISTE Standards for Students, and all 5 AI4K12 Big
Ideas.
Founder & Executive Director: Craig Clay. Mission: every kid is a builder.
