Self Sufficient Transparent Ownership

SSTO is a Minnesota nonprofit dedicated to helping families achieve long‑term financial stability and independence. We provide transparent financial guidance, monthly support, and a structured pathway that strengthens budgeting, improves credit, and prepares families for homeownership and self‑sufficiency. Our mission is to break generational cycles of poverty by equipping families with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive.

The Stipend Program is designed to support low-income families in Minnesota who are currently paying market rent. By providing a monthly stipend that offsets housing and living expenses, the program empowers families to work toward self-sufficiency over a maximum period of five years.

The program is administered by a nonprofit organization and funded through grants, donations, and partnerships.
