Who We Are
Mission:
H2O for Life provides a service-learning opportunity that engages, educates, and inspires youth in the U.S. to take action to solve the global water crisis. Students raise awareness and funds for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects that directly benefit partner schools around the world.
Vision:
We envision a world where every school—everywhere—has access to clean water and sanitation, and where young people are empowered as global citizens through education and service.
History:
H2O for Life began in 2007 with one school’s desire to help another. What started as a local classroom project has grown into a national movement, reaching over 1 million students across thousands of U.S. schools. Working in partnership with trusted global NGOs, we’ve supported more than 1,000 WASH projects in communities around the world, helping provide clean water and sanitation to hundreds of thousands of students.
Our impact flows from the belief that when students learn, communities change—and when they act, the world changes too.
