Who We Are

Fair Trade Minneapolis is a 501c3 nonprofit - started as a Fair Trade Town - in the Fair Trade Campaigns of Fair Trade USA. Our mission is to encourage people to choose Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and gifts so farmers and artisans earn a fair and sustainable living, Planet Earth is protected by the Fair Trade Standards (for sustainable agriculture), and cocoa for chocolate is farmed by adults.

What We Do

We educate people in and near Minneapolis about the international impact they can make every time they choose Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, or gifts - and we offer environmentally sustainable Fair Trade art made from up-cycled metal, paper, and clay - by parents in Haiti paid fairly for their work so they can afford to feed their children.

To art fairs and festivals, Open Streets events, holiday markets, and events with other nonprofits in and near Minneapolis, Fair Trade Minneapolis brings Fair Trade art made in Haiti at Papillon Marketplace: metal wall art, holiday ornaments, "jewelry" made of ceramic and paper-rolled beads, Haiti Friend Dolls, ceramic mugs, and greeting cards.

We need volunteers to join me at events in and near Minneapolis. Our events are fun! It's great to help Haiti, and, when time permits choosing, we also give away "your choices" of several kinds of Fair Trade tea and chocolate - to educate people about Fair Trade.

Yes, when you volunteer with us, you can take home your choices of tea and chocolate too! Thank you for your consideration!
