Who We Are
MCC Refugee Services is a local affiliate of Episcopal Migration Ministries, a program that is contracted by the US Department of State to resettle refugees in the United States. We partner with individuals, congregations of many denominations, community resources, and public agencies to ensure families are welcomed and have the resources they need to become self-sufficient.
What We Do
MCC Refugee Services has welcomed more than 10,000 refugees from around the world to Minnesota. We offer support to newcomers through four lines of service: Case management, Immigration, Employment and Education. We provide intensive case management services for new arrivals, extended social service support, and families enrolled in the Refugee Supportive Housing Network. For employment, we provide professional employment counseling for refugee and asylee families receiving public assistance or enrolled in Match Grant. For education, there are many different educational opportunities including New Arrivals Orientation, Financial Literacy, Computer Skills, Job Readiness, and more. For immigration, we provide assistance to help refugees on their path to citizenship and to reunite eligible family members who are overseas.
