Who We Are
Our mission is to end the suffering of Minnesota cats and dogs due to overpopulation by providing high-quality and accessible spay and neuter surgeries to those in need.
Our vision is also simple: All cats and dogs in Minnesota have access to necessary veterinary care, including spay and neuter surgeries. MN SNAP has completed more than 200,000 low-cost surgeries since April 2010.
What We Do
Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay and neuter services to owned animals within underserved and low-income communities, animals within the rescue and shelter system, and feral cat communities. We reach pets in neighborhoods where cost, transportation or the absence of veterinary services is an obstacle to obtaining spay and neuter services. MN SNAP was founded by Kim Culbertson, DVM, and a group of animal advocates with the goal of reducing the death and suffering of homeless animals across Minnesota. MN SNAP staff works in a surgically outfitted RV and at its headquarters clinic in North Minneapolis.
