Who We Are

White Bear Center for the Arts is an artist-led organization with over 50 years of history. Its mission is to:

ENRICH LIVES by Celebrating Art,
NOURISH IMAGINATION by Inspiring Creativity, and
BUILD UNDERSTANDING by Connecting People.

White Bear Center for the Arts is powered by about 20 professional staff members, over 120 teaching artists, and 180+ volunteers, including its Board of Directors. A variety of ages, cultures, and backgrounds are represented at all levels of the organization.

Over 20,000 people are served each year through the art center's programming, spanning all ages and abilities. A host of community members, libraries, schools, organizations, and businesses make it possible for WBCA to reach people throughout the Greater Northeast Metro and Twin Cities region.

What We Do

White Bear Center for the Arts creates community through art.

White Bear Center for the Arts offers more than a thousand art classes annually, spanning traditions, abilities, generations, and cultures. Over 60 community events are offered free each year, bringing people together to celebrate art. Outreach programs help WBCA serve over 6500 youth annually, as well as people of all ages living with disabilities, people living in institutions, and people with housing and economic instability. White Bear Center for the Arts has three free galleries, which show 15+ exhibitions each year, ranging from student and local artists to professional and international artists.

Everyone has a heart for art, and White Bear Center for the Arts is a place where all can access the transformational power of cultural experiences.
