Royal Guard Performing Arts

Royal Guard Performing Arts is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro Area. We seek to foster a positive experience for all who participate, by promoting education, creativity and the freedom of expression through the unification of the marching arts industry, music education and the performing arts.

We strive to provide a positive, inclusive experience for those who wish to perform, learn new skills, develop leadership qualities and develop life-long friendships.

Royal Guard Performing Arts produces a winter guard experience that provides education in the marching arts & leadership in a cooperative environment. Winter guard is said to be the sport of indoor color guard. It combines the use of flags, sabers, mock rifles, props, & dance; all incorporated into an intricate floor routine. Winter guard offers an example of what it means to be part of a larger community where no one individual is a "star," & every individual is dependent upon each other. In the pursuit of excellence, members learn the importance of working as a team, as good competition develops individual, team, & leadership skills that positively influence every aspect of life.

Our program emphasis focuses on not only the development of our present membership, but that of cultivating, training and educating future arts programming leaders, instructors, and educators in the winter guard activity. Furthermore, our longer-term vision is to mentor the winter guard activity leaders of tomorrow ensuring the stability and perpetuity of the regional winter guard activity.
