Who We Are
Our food shelf is an outreach to the community as part of our commitment to be IN THE CITY FOR GOOD. We are a long-standing food shelf that has expanded in the last 4+ years to meet the increased need. We have a variety of people from the community and congregation who volunteer at the food shelf.
What We Do
We strive to collaborate with neighbors and other community resources to reach those in need and share the abundance of food that exists in the metro area! Providing nutritious fresh food and non-perishable staples to anyone who expresses a need is our mission. We receive (and purchase) food and products from food banks, food rescue sources (ie: North Country Food Alliance, Lunds & Everetts Market), local farmers, and donations from individuals and groups. Our services include a limited delivery program on Tuesdays for homebound elders and folks with disabilities, as well as Wednesday & Saturday distributions. (See hours of service. Most shifts are less than 3 hours.) We need volunteers at other times as well for receiving truck deliveries, preparation, scheduling, outreach and answering messages. Come join our team of committed neighbors at whatever level works - one time, weekly, monthly, …it’s up to you!
