Who We Are
We work to reduce food waste and hunger in the Twin Cities area by being a link between those willing to help and those in need. TCFJ is committed to:
1. improving health through increased access to nutrient rich food, especially among food insecure individuals.
2. creating conditions for health and economic equity in the neighborhoods we serve.
3. executing our work with environmentally sustainable mechanisms.
4. engaging the Twin Cities community in the issues of food waste, food insecurity and hunger.
What We Do
Our volunteers pick up fresh produce and bread that would otherwise be wasted from small grocery stores, co-ops and farms and deliver it directly to food relief organizations serving those who are food insecure. Volunteer shifts require less than an hour but provide nutrition to those who are hungry AND reduce food waste and its negative impact on our environment.
