Mission Statement: Reduce Waste, Foster Development, Build Community
Organization’s Challenge:
Minnesota Toy Library is seeking support with a marketing plan. The organization serves families with children from ages 0-5 by offering over 10,000 toys available for checkout across 3 metro locations. Toy library memberships are available on a sliding scale for up to $100/year and there are currently over 500 active members. People become members for many reasons, including a desire to be environmentally friendly, avoid clutter, and save money. To ensure ongoing sustainability, they are looking to attract new members and partnerships. Minnesota Toy Library has taken part in two previous Connected for Change Marketing Days where they focused on social media, key messaging, and marketing strategy. This year, membership committee members will be representing the organization. They are hoping to walk away with a marketing plan—a written document that they can use as a roadmap for communicating with external stakeholders and new audiences. They seek specific instruction on plan implementation, including a detailed timeline, task checklist, and clear delegation within the small team. With marketing support, Minnesota Toy Library will gain a comprehensive action plan for who they want to communicate with, when and how to do it, and who owns outcomes.
