The current operational state is not sustainable for longevity. Anne identified the need for strategic planning to support organizational growth, focusing on sustainable funding and a staffing expansion. Anne acknowledged the challenge of balancing mission-driven work with financial sustainability, particularly in pricing services and managing new programs like the horse ambassador initiative. She knows the importance of developing a comprehensive strategy to handle growth, including revenue streams, team management, and operational processes are important to thrive and drive real impact for clients, while highlighting the value of strategy projects in clarifying priorities and identifying viable options.
Anne recognizes financial challenges and wants to explore the possibility of implementing a social enterprise model to generate revenue. She considered offering art classes and birthday parties with animals to fund her programs, which serve underrepresented youth and people with disabilities. A look into program growth and sustainable revenue streams would fit strategy project with volunteers in the program assessment space. Anne understands that financial planning goes hand in hand with exploring new revenue opportunities, while considering hiring staff to support these efforts. Having a dedicated team to guide Anne through this unfamiliar process will be valuable to continue this important work.
