Opportunities From: HandsOn Twin Cities

Volunteer: Warehouse Volunteer - Help us recycle and refurbish computers! (Age 10 +)

Help us sort, recycle and repair donated computers and get them in the hands of people who need them! After 22 years in Bayport, MCFS has moved to a new warehouse in Minneapolis and is in the process of getting settled. With the move comes a variety of new opportunities for us to better serve our community, but before we can do that we need help getting settled in our new warehouse!

Projects include light warehouse work, sorting recyclable materials into the proper bins, testing and cleaning computer equipment, tearing down computer equipment for recycle, sorting sellable equipment and parts.

About MCFS
We recycle and repair donated computers and repurpose them to provide technology access and skills training to people who need it most.

Why Volunteer at MCFS?
Thousands of people in the Twin Cities lack the access and skills to the technology necessary to succeed in school and in the workforce. MCFS is closing the digital divide in Minnesota by providing access to refurbished computers and free IT skills training. Volunteering at our warehouse makes a huge impact on people in your community in many ways:

Close the digital divide by helping to make sure everyone has access to technology and the skills needed to succeed. Learn how to build a computer! Protect the environment by helping us reuse and recycle thousands of pounds of e-waste.
