Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Young Professionals Leader Volunteer Board Position   Join The Salvation Army's young professionals group, a community of diverse young adults collectively rising up to serve our community through the mission of The Salvation Army in service, fundraising, fellowship and ministry. Members will build their network and develop professionally through opportunities to exchange ideas and hear from local leaders in the community. We are looking to invite new talent to the table to help us co-create a new vision for the group by helping to establish an executive board to design opportunities for engagement throughout the year.    Qualifications Sought: •      Energized by and supportive of the mission of The Salvation Army  •      Ability to learn, lead and plan with a desire to create  •      Demonstrated ability to think independently and work collaboratively.  •      Desire to inspire and empower others, including the recruitment and mentoring of new leaders •      Ability to interact with other board members in a group setting, both contributing to, and valuing the contributions of all members   Benefits: •      Expand professional network through building relationships with other emerging professionals.  •      Gain knowledge of the nonprofit sector and issues facing the community.  •      Develop and enhance skills in event planning, fundraising and strategic leadership
