Volunteer: Make a Meaningful Difference—Volunteer with Loaves & Fishes Holy Rosary Meal Site

For over 40 years, Loaves & Fishes has met hunger where it lives. Today, we are proud to be Minnesota’s largest free restaurant, serving thousands of nutritious meals with dignity and compassion.

We’re currently seeking individuals and small groups to help us package and serve to-go meals at our Holy Rosary meal site (Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings). Whether you’re experienced or brand new, we welcome you—our friendly site coordinator will guide you every step of the way.

Volunteer Roles Include:

Cooking & Meal Prep
Assist in preparing a pre-planned meal and packaging it for distribution, under the direction of our site coordinator.

Serving & Cleanup
Help finish any meal prep, distribute meals, greet guests, wash dishes, and clean up during and after service.

What You’ll Need:
We provide gloves and aprons. If you don’t have a hat, we’ll supply a hairnet. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing with sleeves that cover your shoulders.

Volunteer: Loaves & Fishes Guest Support Kits (Without leaving your office!)

For 40+ years, Loaves & Fishes has gone where the hunger is. Today, we are the largest free restaurant in Minnesota. Most of our volunteer opportunities involve cooking & serving our Loaves & Fishes guests. We remain committed to the health and safety of our guests. One benefit we like to offer during meal site throughout the year includes hygiene or self care kits. If your organization would like to do something without leaving the office these self care kits are ideal. Organizations can fund and put together kits on their own time to be delivered to the Loaves & Fishes warehouse at 721 Kasota Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN. Notify the Director of Volunteers when planning to donate at volunteer@loavesandfishesmn.org. 

Recommended Kit Items:
