Volunteer: Assist with Project PreparationHelp HOTC's project team prepare for the hundreds of high quality volunteer events hosted annually. Each week brings new projects, new supplies and new adventures, and we are looking for volunteers to help work behind the scenes to help project preparation run smoothly. Volunteer tasks and responsibilities typically include: Assist with project supplies inventory managemet Assemble HOTC project materials, including onsite events and remote “Projects In a Box” Preparation tasks typically include preparing, sorting and counting project supplies and organizing supplies for easy day of event execution Packing "Project in a Box" includes working in an assembly line to pack up volunteer events for remote volunteers Help maintain cleanliness and organization of HOTC's warehouse space Quality check projects prior to delivery to nonprofit partners. Brief examples include: Superhero capes Cards of encouragement to seniors, youth, teachers or veterans No-sew fleece tied blankets for homeless shelters Pet toys for animal rescuesAnd much more! Volunteering at HOTC is best suited for volunteers ages 14+. Those under the age of 18 must provide HOTC with signed permissions from a parent/guardian to volunteer. Many volunteer roles include lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, lifting, twisting, and standing, but accommodations for low-impact tasks can easily be arranged. We welcome teams for this event, and can be flexible up to 8 volunteers. Volunteer shifts take place every Wednesday from 9AM-12PM. We can be flexible for groups as well.
