Volunteer: Kwanzaa CelebrationMinnesota Chapter of the Association of Black Social Workers for our annual Kwanzaa celebration, a meaningful gathering that honors the rich cultural heritage of African Americans while promoting unity, purpose, and tradition. This year's event celebrates the spirit of Umoja (Unity), focusing on cultural awareness and the importance of community empowerment. In partnership with C2I and Rebound, this celebration is a unique opportunity to connect with others, reflect on the principles of Kwanzaa, and uplift the values that sustain our communities. The event will feature traditional Kwanzaa rituals, inspiring speakers, live performances, cultural exhibitions, and delicious food. Guests will also enjoy family-friendly activities that highlight the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa, fostering a deeper understanding of African heritage and the power of collective action. We have several volunteer opportunities available for this event! -Provide decorations and decorate the party room for the event using red, black, and green decor. -Provide, prepare, and serve a meal for 50 people. *Meal preference -Provide a craft activity focusing on Kwanzaa.
