Join our Board of Directors! We Create Peaceful Solutions Mediation and Restorative Services provides accessible, affordable mediation and restorative practices to help people in Anoka County and neighboring communities resolve their own conflicts and repair harm. About the Board of Directors The board supports MARS as it creates peaceful solutions for the communities that we serve. The MARS board is currently comprised of community members who come from different professional and personal backgrounds. We are looking to add more community members to our board. MARS desires to create a board of directors with diverse life experiences and perspectives. This way, we can have a deeper understanding of the communities we serve. Expectations of Board Members Board members are expected to regularly attend meetings and events, and must commit to making decisions in the best interest for MARS. Duties include assisting in fund development, board maintenance, program expansion, and providing proper financial oversight. Board of Directors have the authority to initiate and approve policies and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director. Board Member terms are three years long. Board members are unpaid volunteers and must be atleast 18 years of age.
