Who doesn't love a beautifully-decorated home for the holidays?! We love to offer our residents beautiful decorations throughout their communal home - inside and out - and would love your help in the process! Whether it is using our existing decor or adding to it, we would love to make our facility a Winter Wonderland for residents and their families to enjoy. This is a great opportunity for corporate groups of 5-10 volunteers to come together and transform the facility into something beautiful and have fun while doing it.

Orientation will be provided, staff will be on-site. Free parking available at facility.

Offering new and unique opportunities to our residents activity level and sense of purpose and community.
We are looking for volunteer groups to either plan a one-time special event or assist with our regularly-scheduled monthly events. Ideas include: large-group Bingo, sing-alongs, theme-based social hours(tropical, eras, music genres, etc), or ideas created by your group. Staff, residents and their families always appreciate and enjoy these unique events!

Orientation will be provided, staff will be present during event. This is a great opportunity for corporate or volunteer groups of 5-15 people, depending on the event

Resident social interaction, independence in shopping and increased movement throughout the building are each enhanced by a visit to our on-site Gift Shop. Happy-faced point of sale individuals are needed to serve our residents, their families and our staff in the Mount Olivet Careview Home Gift Shop! The shop offers a wide variety of unique gifts, snacks, books, activities, clothing items and personal essentials and is a favored in-house destination for residents, their families and staff. The shop is 100% volunteer-run, so regular attendants are needed to fulfill the advertised hours. You will help residents choose gifts and facilitate their purchases, engage in conversation and enjoy their company!

Three-hour shifts are regularly scheduled, but adaptations can be made depending on volunteer availability.

Background check required, orientation provided, and staff will be on-site. This opportunity works great for individual volunteers or 2-person teams.

Gathering residents together in community and worship offers them opportunity to gather with family members, other residents and staff to help fulfill their social and spiritual needs.

Volunteers are needed to assist residents in getting to/from our main-floor chapel (on-site) for weekly worship services on Sunday mornings. We have a full house each week and would love to have you assist and enjoy the service!

Orientation will be provided and staff will be present during event. This is a great opportunity for corporate or volunteer groups of 4-8 people, family groups or individuals.

BINGO is a staple in our facility! BINGO is held nearly every day on one of our floors, and is led by either staff or amazing volunteers! Assistance is need to help call BINGO or simply roam the group to assist residents with their cards - and their winnings! This is a fabulous way to create new relationships, and everyone has fun!

This opportunity is perfect for individuals, family units or corporate groups. Scheduling is regular throughout the building and special arrangements can be made for a sponsored all-resident event!

Offering residents regular opportunities to be away from the facility and out in the community, enjoying everything it has to offer, has positive impacts in their psycho/social wellness, communication skills and overall happiness! We have at least one scheduled community outing each week to a variety of destinations, many of which were requested by residents. There is an "Out to Lunch Bunch" and occasional shopping outings as well. Other events include, but are not limited to, the orchestra, plays, boat rides, casino trips, museums, scenic drives, and local restaurant favorites. Volunteer duties include gathering residents to board the van, assist with wheelchairs during the outing, helping pass out meals, and enjoying the outing with the residents and staff!

Orientation will be provided, background checks required (arranged through Mount Olivet Homes), and staff will be present on the outings.

Our residents love and deserve a little pampering! We have many opportunities open to help with manicures, hand massages, and visiting with our residents. No tools necessary - all items will be provided. Volunteers ages 15+ may apply! This is a great opportunity for groups or single applicants. Volunteer background checks and fingerprinting arranged by facility.  Please join us for a fabulous time!

Vibrant and meaningful Music Therapy department at a senior living community is looking for volunteers to share their interest in music and assist Music Therapists while they lead their programs.  Programs may include sing-alongs, music games, music Bingo, songwriting with residents, music and movement, and music and reminiscence. Come join in the fun!
