HAFA is looking for extra hand to assist on our 255 acre farm in Vermillion Township, Minnesota! No matter how big or small, every little bit counts and we are super appreciative for all the help we can get during these times! HAFA is open to ALL volunteers but have a higher demand for volunteers who can volunteer during the weekdays on M/T/W! Hours will vary but duties in demand will be during the afternoon hours from 12:00-3:00 PM! Common duties may include but are not limited to: Putting CSA Boxes together Handling produce for CSA Boxes Packing and distributing produce into CSA Boxes Washing produce totes Helping organize and clean our HAFA Packshed Organizing produce cooler Cleaning up the HAFA Farm Picking up rocks Cutting up grass Helping re-paint our HAFA Sheds ...and many more!Requirements: Ability to lift at least 10 lbs. Ability to perform physical tasks. Ability to adhere to farm/food safety protocol and rules. Have an open mind to learn and be part of a diverse community. By joining our Invasive Species Volunteer Group, you’ll make a difference by not only protecting the native habitat, but also improving our grounds for the enjoyment of visitors and respite participants. Schedule: Spring and Fall 2-4 opportunities in the Spring and 2-4 opportunities in the Fall 2-3 hours at a timeAs an Invasive Species Volunteer you will: Assist in the removal of invasive species including garlic mustard and buckthorn Pull and bag mature flowering garlic mustard in the Spring Cut and daub small buckthorn plants in the Fall.
