Collective Caring is a monthly program that enables local businesses, organizations, and groups to collect needed items at our warehouse for the month. Sponsors can host the whole month, a couple weeks or even a week. Monthly sponsors will collect items needed at the warehouse such as personal hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, sheets/towels, etc. at their place of business or other locations they designate. At the end of the month the sponsor will drop off the donation to our Anoka MN warehouse to replenish our shelves.

These items are the most popular items that fly off our warehouse shelves. As a reminder, we provide everything at our warehouse free of charge to case workers in Anoka and Sherburne County who work with seniors and adults with disabilities so that they can feel empowered to maintain their quality of life.

By partnering with teachers and students in under-resourced schools, the Kids In Need Foundation provides the support needed for teachers to teach and learners to learn. The fulfillment of our national programs occurs at our Teacher Resource Center in Little Canada, MN. We rely heavily on help from volunteers like you, and would be honored if you would consider joining us to achieve our mission.

We have a number of upcoming volunteer shifts. Interested volunteers can view and register for upcoming volunteer events here! If you are interested in scheduling a time for your group to volunteer, KINF can accommodate up to 80 participants at a time. AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether you are playing music for our patients, praying with them, providing aromatherapy, visiting with a therapy dog, or making supportive phone calls to bereaved families, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too!

AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Our direct care volunteers visit with patients wherever they call home to provide companionship and socialization. Loyal Friends Pet Teams bring therapy dogs to visit our patients. Music companions use the power of music to enhance the quality of our patients’ lives. Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains. Legacy project volunteers assist patients and families with creating meaningful projects to honor the patients’ life. Vigil volunteers provide supportive presence at the bedside of patients who are actively dying. These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff.

Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule,ule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as indirect volunteers or can buddy with another trained volunteer (teen or adult) to make in-person visits to patients in facilities. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your talents with those at the end of life.

Big Climb brings you inside U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings, where we turn the stands into a powerful path forward for blood cancer patients and survivors. Participants race up and down the stairs at U.S. Bank Stadium and finish across the 50 yard line! We are looking for event day volunteers to assist with setup, during the event, and clean up. Volunteer positions include general setup, check-in, t-shirt distribution, volunteer check-in, and more! Donations: While donations are not required to pack at this session, we humbly request them. Each volunteer packs about $50 worth of food and FMSC receives no government support. We can only send meals as we have funding. Nearly everyone is able to contribute something, but we leave the amount up to you. Many groups and individuals make advance fundraising a fun part of their service project. As you're willing and able, you may donate on the day you volunteer (by cash, check or credit card), or online before or after you pack.

At Feed My Starving Children, our mission is to feed all of God's starving children around the world who are hungry in both body and in spirit. But we cannot do this without your help. Will you join us?

Join Us at the North Warehouse: Help Keep Meals Moving

Loaves & Fishes is currently navigating a warehouse reduction, and we’re inviting volunteers to help with the inventory and organization of frozen food donations at our North Warehouse. Your support will help ensure this food can quickly and safely reach neighbors experiencing food insecurity. This is a hands-on, outdoor volunteer opportunity that plays an important role in keeping food moving into our community meal programs. With volunteer help, frozen food can be properly sorted, staged, and distributed in a timely way—protecting meals that many of our guests rely on. Volunteers should be prepared to work in cold-weather conditions and dress appropriately for handling frozen products. A few hours of your time makes a meaningful difference by helping us rescue high-quality food and distribute it with care. If you’re able to lend a hand, we’d be grateful for your support. Helping during this transition allows Loaves & Fishes to continue our mission of providing welcoming, dignified access to nutritious food—especially as needs across our communities remain high.

Are you looking for an easy way to donate your time to elders and help them with food stability? We have a great opportunity for you! Our Episcopal Homes residents at one of our independent living apartment buildings (for seniors 65+) have a free Food Mobile delivery the 3rd Tuesday of the month. We need a volunteer to help the staff set up tables and move 5–10-pound boxes. The truck has a few steps in and out of the trailer. The volunteer time is 1:30-4pm.

Join us for an afternoon of bowling, connection, and community. Reach for Resources’ annual Bowl-A-Thon brings together adults with developmental disabilities for a fun, supportive, and social event. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day a success.

Date: Saturday, March 7
Event Time: 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Volunteer Time: 12:00 to 4:30 PM (specific times vary by track)

Volunteers participate for the full event and choose one of several tracks that describe their responsibilities throughout the day. Training and guidance are provided.

Time: 12:00 to 4:30 PM
Assist with check-in for pre-registered participants, then shift into floating and lane tech support during the event. Support may include basic score corrections or directing bowlers to staff if lane issues come up. Volunteers then help with food service and end the day with clean-up.
Best for: Volunteers who enjoy variety and moving between tasks.

Lane Assistants receive training beginning at 12:15 PM. Volunteers are assigned to a pair of lanes where they cheer on bowlers, offer assistance, and help create a positive and inclusive environment. Clean-up takes place at the end of the event.
Best for: Volunteers who enjoy one-on-one interaction and supporting participants directly.

Time: 12:00 to 4:30 PM
Floaters support staff and participants wherever needed. Tasks may include guiding attendees, helping with supplies, assisting lane volunteers, and serving pizza and refreshments. Clean-up follows at the end of the event.
Best for: Volunteers who are flexible and like to jump in where help is needed most.

Help maintain energy at the event by making announcements, providing updates, cheering on bowlers, and supporting the prize table.

Reader Leaders are trained volunteers who facilitate small group reading sessions where stories and poems are read aloud and explored together. These sessions create welcoming spaces where people connect through literature, reflection, and conversation — no prior preparation or reading required for participants.

Each year, Irish Arts Minnesota hosts the annual St. Patrick’s Day Irish Celebration in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. For over 40 years, we’ve invited the community to see local musicians, dance performance groups, art exhibitions, and storytellers. In 2017 alone, over 7,000 people from the Twin Cities joined us at the Landmark Center to celebrate Irish-American culture. Proceeds from our events help sustain our programs, like educational grants, that support Irish artists all year round. The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is produced by Irish Arts Minnesota and is presented in partnership with the Minnesota Landmarks.

Minnesota Valley Chapter, Izaak Walton League of America

This year, the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League turns 100 years old. For a century, volunteers have cared for land, water, youth, and community along the Minnesota River.

Our historic Chapter House—a 1930s home we’ve stewarded since 1962—has been at the heart of that work. Its floors have carried generations of footsteps: young conservation leaders, artists, volunteers, and neighbors.

As we celebrate our centennial, we’re hoping to give the Chapter a birthday present that will last: restoring the oak floors so this space can carry us into our next hundred years.

We are seeking in-kind professional services to refinish the original oak wood floors throughout our Chapter House. These floors have decades of stories in them—and a lot of foot traffic. We’re ready to restore them properly so the beauty of the oak can shine again and support many more years of community use.

This is a meaningful way for a skilled flooring professional or craftsperson to give back by leaving a lasting mark on a historic, mission-driven space.

The Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is a 100% volunteer-run community dedicated to environmental education, conservation service, and youth leadership. We steward land along the Minnesota River and host programs that bring young people, educators, and community members together around learning, nature, and action.

Envirothon is a hands-on, team-based environmental science competition for high school students. Students demonstrate their knowledge in areas such as soils, water, forestry, wildlife, and current environmental issues — and present solutions through oral presentations.

This event is the first-ever Minnesota Valley Envirothon Invitational, created as a warm-up opportunity for students ahead of the official Minnesota Envirothon season. Exams are written by Minnesota Envirothon alumni, and the event follows the traditional Envirothon format.

The Green Crew is an award-winning, youth-led conservation and environmental leadership program based in Bloomington, MN. Our leadership team operates as Venture Crew 3111, and we are seeking Adult Advisors with a background in Scouting who are willing to support the backend operations of our Venture unit.

This role is ideal for former or current Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Venture Advisors, committee members, or Scouters who understand how youth-led units work—and who enjoy helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.

This is not a role about running meetings or directing youth leaders. It’s about providing structure, continuity, and operational support so youth can lead with confidence and focus on conservation and leadership.

Overview / Impact:
Help connect students to real-world water science through the River Watch program! Friends of the Minnesota Valley is seeking a volunteer to support scheduling and communication with local schools participating in hands-on water quality monitoring along the Minnesota River and its tributaries.

This role is a wonderful fit for a former teacher—especially a science or environmental educator—who wants to stay connected to education while supporting student learning and environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Do:

Communicate with teachers and schools to schedule River Watch sampling days

Coordinate calendars between schools, volunteers, and River Watch staff

Help confirm logistics such as dates, locations, and classroom needs

Serve as a friendly point of contact for educators with questions

Help ensure smooth, well-organized experiences for students and teachers

Ideal For:
Former teachers, retired educators, or education professionals who enjoy organization, communication, and supporting student learning. You do not need to lead field activities—this role focuses on scheduling and coordination support.

Friends of the Minnesota Valley is seeking thoughtful, community-minded volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. Board members help guide the organization’s mission to protect, restore, and celebrate the Minnesota River Valley through strategic leadership, stewardship, and partnership-building.

Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to shape conservation outcomes, support environmental education, and strengthen a trusted voice for the river and its communities.

Our mission at Small Sums is to outfit individuals experiencing homelessness with the work gear, tools, training, and transportation resources they need to start a new job. 

Small Sums Community Day provides workers with additional tools to elevate their wages and increase access to long-term economic and housing stability.

We will offer resume support, LinkedIn registration, interview prep, FREE haircuts, and professional headshots. All materials will be provided to support our workers during your shift.

Hennepin Healthcare is hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9am – 1pm as part of Doors Open Minneapolis. This is ideal for children who are between 2 – 8 years old. Since children learn and express themselves through play, the aim is to educate and entertain them at a series of 12+ interactive stations to help normalize a medical experience. Children bring their Teddy Bears (or any stuffed animal) to the event and follow the “prescription” checklist (for their teddy to get stitches, x-rays, a bandage, hearing test, dentist visit and more). They also have the opportunity to tour of an ambulance and a fire truck. Free parking available in the Clinic and Specialty Center’s underground garage (entrance is at 821 Park Ave, Minneapolis). About the Host Committee

Each volunteer role contributes to both the success of the event and the long-term impact of the League’s mission.

Your Role: Silent Auction Coordinator
As the Silent Auction Coordinator, you’ll help plan and manage one of the conference’s key fundraising activities. Working with the Host Committee and Sponsorship-related volunteers, you’ll coordinate donated items, organize auction logistics, and help create an engaging experience that supports the League’s conservation mission. This role blends organization, relationship-building, and event execution.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating the collection and tracking of donated auction items.

Organizing item descriptions, values, and display information.

Assisting with setup and layout of the silent auction area.

Supporting bidding processes during the conference.

Helping with item close-out, payment coordination, and donor recognition.

Great River Greening engages thousands of volunteers each year in hands-on restoration, environmental conservation, and community science-based programming. Our volunteer events take place across Minnesota, with a focus on the Twin Cities metro area, central Minnesota (from Blaine to Brainerd), and throughout Southern Minnesota.

We invite you to join our dedicated Volunteer Supervisor team as we expand restoration efforts across the state. As a Volunteer Supervisor, you'll develop valuable leadership and restoration skills while helping to lead and motivate groups of volunteers at our spring and fall restoration events.

Volunteer Supervisors oversee small groups of around 10 volunteers during hands-on restoration projects. These activities typically include planting native grasses and forbs, tree and shrub planting, controlling invasive species, and broadcasting seeds.

This opportunity allows volunteers to help with stadium operations while generating funds that directly support Rock from the Heart’s mission to raise awareness and provide education around aortic and heart valve disease.

Volunteers work as a team during Minnesota Twins home games and special events, helping with food and beverage service in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Morgan Wallen Concert – US Bank Stadium

Saturday, April 11

Rock from the Heart is recruiting volunteers to support event security at the Morgan Wallen concert at US Bank Stadium. This opportunity allows volunteers to help with stadium operations while generating funds that directly support Rock from the Heart’s mission to raise awareness and provide education around aortic and heart valve disease.

Volunteer Role:
Volunteers will assist with event security duties such as bag checks, guest screening, and crowd support. Assignments are coordinated by Whelan Event Staffing Services (BEST).

Why Volunteer:
*Support a major concert at US Bank Stadium
*Be part of the Rock from the Heart Volunteer Security Team
*Help raise funds to support Rock from the Heart programs and events
*Work alongside a reliable, experienced event staffing team

Requirements:

*Completion of required training prior to the event
*Completion of all individual forms (Volunteer Waiver, Media Release, Emergency Contact)

Our needs include:

Project for Pride in Living Mission: PPL is dedicated to empowering individuals and families with lower incomes to achieve self-reliance through a comprehensive approach that includes affordable housing, employment training, support services, and education. 

PPL's mission is to build hope, assets, and self-reliance by providing transformative services that help participants stabilize their economic situations and secure long-term success.

Basic Guidelines:
- Purchase ingredients and prepare at least 50 sandwiches (so that it stores well, please only add meat and cheese on the bread).
- Sides: Condiment packets, chips, and non-refrigerated fruit (examples: apples, bananas, or oranges).
- Estimated cost: $75–$100 for sandwiches only; double if adding sides.
 

Supply Checklist:
- Meat (no pork)
- Cheese
- Bread
- Condiment packets
- White stickers and marker for labeling sandwich type

- Food prep gloves
- Ziploc bags
- Preferred Side(s): Chips and non-refrigerated fresh fruit (examples: apples, bananas, or oranges)
 

Assembly Instructions:
- After putting on your food prep gloves, use 2 or more slices of meat and 1 or more slices of cheese per sandwich.
- Place each in a Ziploc bag with a sticker noting sandwich type and prep date.
- Suggested: Repack sandwiches into original bread bags for easy transport and storage. Label outer bag with sandwich type and date.

Bonus Touch:
Write short notes of encouragement—neutral in tone, not religious, signed by you or your group.
Example: “Enjoy your lunch! From St. Mary’s Senior Youth Group”

Final Step:
Deliver sandwiches at your scheduled drop-off time - LUNCH DROP OFF SCHEDULE.

Wash hands and put on food prep gloves prior to assembly. Use clean surfaces while preparing sandwiches.

Keep sandwiches cold using a clean cooler or cooler bag and ice packs if transporting on trips lasting more than 30 minutes. For shorter trips of 30 minutes or less in a cool car, a cooler isn’t required—just keep items chilled until departure and go straight to drop-off without making any unnecessary stops.

Did you know that more than half of food shelf shoppers struggle to afford personal hygiene products every month? This is because hygiene items are not covered by government assistance, have limited availability at food shelves (if at all) and are expensive. Let's help address this need buy filling bags for families.

We are looking for businesses, community groups and neighbors to buy full size personal hygiene products and fill grocery bags with them for neighbors struggling to afford hygiene items. These bags will be given to food shelves, schools, housing providers and refugee services organizations.

Please note: This is a remote opportunity that occurs at your preferred location. Your group will be responsible for the purchasing and assembling of the hygiene care bags. We can provide you with suggestions of items based on needs and pricing. We can pick up the bags or you may drop them off at our St. Paul location (280/94).

We are seeking dedicated volunteers for our Neighbor to Neighbor Companion service in metro and rural areas of Minnesota. You can make a difference in the life of an older adult, share skills, meet new people and have fun in the community. 

A Neighbor to Neighbor Companion is a bridge to fuller, more active lives for older adults who need a little extra support to continue living at home, stay healthy and remain as independent as possible.

Due to the current pandemic, Neighbor to Neighbor Companion services are currently being offered exclusively virtually via phone and video chat. We will transition back to in person visits and reintroduce transportation support when we can do so safely, following state and federal guidelines

Calling all creative minds and hands! 

We are looking for off-site volunteers to knit or crochet hats, scarves, mittens, and blankets for kids PreK-12th grade. This opportunity is ongoing as the need for teachers to provide winter gear for their students has increased. 

Our Resource Center serves Minnesota teachers through a variety of distribution channels. For teachers located within the Twin Cities area, we offer an in-store shopping experience or curbside pick-up at our location in Roseville. We also support teachers who are located outside of the Twin Cities through extended services to ensure product makes its way into the hands of under-resourced teachers and students who need them most.

The fulfillment of our national programs occurs at our Teacher Resource Center in Roseville, MN. We rely heavily on help from volunteers like you, and would be honored if you would consider joining us to achieve our mission.

With proper resources at their disposal, students find the confidence to return to school day in and day out. Teachers, too, are empowered to do their best work when they are supported by the resources they need to maintain effective, equitable learning environments.

By hosting a supply drive, you can level the playing field in underserved schools.

Volunteer dinner groups purchase, prepare, and serve a nutritious meal to 21 residents at our emergency shelter every night of the year. It’s a perfect opportunity for families, congregations, co-workers, or friends to join together for a fun and fulfilling evening! 

Volunteers can use our shelter kitchen to cook a meal, or cook at home and bring the meal ready to go! We have so many open dates and could use any support we can get. 

If you don't have time to cook a meal, please consider donating the funds for one online! It costs about $250 to feed our shelter guests.

Our marketing department is in need of social media support! Volunteer your expertise! We're flexible, not too demanding, and incredibly grateful for any help we can get. We're a North Minneapolis community center with an early childhood learning center and a host of other programs that need your attention, and that of our followers. Help us steward our clients and funders by showing them the work we're doing.

New Day Thrift Store is looking for people to sort, price and put clothing out on the sales floor.  This person would separate out any stained or unsalable clothes to be donated to other organizations that take them for rags, etc.  Clothes would then be placed on hangers and tagged. Children under 14 are able to volunteer, but an adult needs to come with them to supervise them. Come join us! Our volunteers have fun while helping a great cause! Your help would really be appreciated!!!

Small groups (up to 5) welcome, but we don't have enough space for large groups.

Help us with Publicity and Marketing. Specifically, we are looking for people to help us get the word out around the state about the important work we do! We would really appreciate having several people “on call” whom we can contact about upcoming events or humane cases so they can contact the media and help us obtain some much-needed publicity. 

Looking for Board Members to bring their ideas energy and passion for Art, Horses, Humans and Nature to our community.  We are especially looking for people who identify as BIPOC & LGBTQ+ & part of the disability community.  Come join our fun team!  We have a one hour meeting a month and would love your help on various projects and ideas! 

Fundraising:

Art, Heart and Hoofbeats - Equine Rescue and Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that runs entirely on donations. We are always on the look out for help in procuring monetary donations and sponsorship, both private and corporate. We also often need individuals to collect donations of goods and services for special events (for example, gift cards and items for silent auctions). We have also received many wonderful donations from clubs, groups, and individuals who have chosen to hold a “AHH Benefit” Event. Some ideas for this would be fun shows, tack sales, rummage sales, bake sales, or informational booths at local feed or tack stores. If you are interested in holding this sort of fundraiser to help the horses and people served at AHH, please let us know!

 Farm Help:

At Art, Heart and Hoofbeats Equine Rescue and Sanctuary we welcome volunteers to the farm to help on a regular scheduled basis or with special projects. This often includes cleaning stalls, mending or building a fence, building goat toys general maintenance of the grounds. Volunteers with special skills (such as electricians or carpenters) are also needed!

While working on projects.  Build a horse fence, a goat toy, clean up a garden patch and plant flowers in our sanctuary.

 Assignments: 
Volunteers will be assigned to packing boxes of dry food, bagging produce, receiving and stocking donations and purchased food deliveries.  NorthPoint staff will have direct contact with guests (not volunteers) to register and receive food. When you arrive for your shift, please use the entry door of the Food Shelf, enter, to record your time sign in, check in with designated supervisor and wash your hands in the breakroom or hand washing sink.  Please remember to sign out at the end of your shift.  Our Food Shelf Supervisor will provide you with training at your first shift as well.

Please take all necessary precautions if you are health compromised or caring for someone with compromised health.  Please do not volunteer if you or anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19.

Required face coverings:  

All staff and volunteers are encouraged to wear face coverings that cover both mouth and nose and are secure with ear loops.  NorthPoint will provide disposable masks and gloves during yours shift.  
 

How to Dress and What to Bring: 
Please wear closed-toe shoes to protect your feet from boxes and pallets.  No sandals please.  Please dress modestly with shorts that come to the knee or long pants and short or long sleeves.  There will be bottled drinking water on site but you are also encouraged to bring your own reusable water bottle.  Hand sanitizer and disposable masks will be available throughout the building.

We collect gently used and new shoes through our Shoe Away Hunger program and sell them for a suggested donation on our mobile shoe bus and trailer and at various static sites.

We sort these shoes into three categories (great, good, and grind) at our warehouse in Plymouth on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12 to 3:00 p.m. We would love for you or your group to join us in sorting shoes! Civic Bridgers is a Minnesota-based nonpartisan nonprofit on a mission to strengthen democracy and heal polarization through bridging divides. In March 2026, America's Future Summit celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States, hosted by Civic Bridgers in partnership with YMCA and NYLC.

America’s Future Summit (AFS) is a two-day civic leadership accelerator that convenes Minnesota’s top 250 teens to innovate civic solutions in three fields: climate, education, and media.  Working in teams, students step into real-world leadership roles (CEO, COO, CFO, CMO, CPO) to design actionable, community-rooted solutions using curated portfolios of primary sources and local data. The summit positions young people on the horizon of innovation — where civic responsibility meets bold, future-focused leadership.

We envision a revival of pluralism led by Civic Bridgers modeling humanity, humility, and accountability. We reconnect people with civic life and with each other through immersive, hands-on learning experiences and mentorship that break down fences of division, such as toxic partisanship, purity tests, and stereotyping. At America's Future Summit, we prepare Civic Bridgers to leverage collective power and viewpoint diversity to solve some of our nation’s greatest challenges. We invite volunteers of all backgrounds to serve this mission at different capacities, before the event and at the event on March 9 & 10.

Join us on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Saint Paul RiverCentre for The Sanneh Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event. Gala4Goals celebrates our mission to empower youth, improve lives, and unite communities through an evening of inspiration, connection, and community impact.

Volunteers make this event possible. From greeting guests and assisting with registration to supporting the silent auction, ballroom activities, and post-event tear down. Each role helps create a welcoming, seamless experience for our guests while supporting programs that serve thousands of youth and families across Minnesota every year.

Items can range from welcome baskets to move-in kits to basic hygiene items, and all make a tremendous difference in someone’s life. Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors (LSHS) and Minnehaha Food Shelf (located in the Minnehaha United Methodist Church, 3701 E. 31st St) joined forces back in August of 2020 with concern for older adults in the community who were unable to pick up their food shelf items in person due to the COVID pandemic.

LSHS continues to provide this food shelf delivery service to older adults in the greater Longfellow neighborhoods, and we are looking for  volunteers who can assist with this program on at least one Tuesday a month.

Volunteers will be asked to work alongside LSHS and Minnehaha Food Shelf staff to choose and pack needed items to be delivered.  The number of clients varies,  but there are no more than 2 delivery stops. This opportunity can be physically demanding, and there is some heavy lifting involved. However, we work as a team to lighten the load.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one Tuesday morning a month for 1.5 -2.0 hours.
