Help us educate MCFM visitors about compostable plastics, manage composting stations, and collect data for our Zero Waste program! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in our efforts by volunteering as a Zero Waste Educator. There’s no need to be an expert - we train volunteers on the basics at the start of each shift. 10am - 1:15pm every Saturday May-October. Make sure to bring a water bottle and dress in weather appropriate clothing that is comfortable and may get messy. You will receive a reminder email during the week before your shift. Ed Sheeran Concert – US Bank Stadium

Rock from the Heart is recruiting volunteers to support event security at the Morgan Wallen concert at US Bank Stadium. This opportunity allows volunteers to help with stadium operations while generating funds that directly support Rock from the Heart’s mission to raise awareness and provide education around aortic and heart valve disease.

Volunteer Role:
Volunteers will assist with event security duties such as bag checks, guest screening, and crowd support.

Through the Project Success Expeditions program, Minneapolis middle school students have the opportunity to spend a week exploring the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). The Project Success BWCA Leader partners with a trained Wilderness Guide to lead a group of middle school students in the BWCA for a week-long canoe and camping trip.

Help us tackle our to-do list! Volunteer at Gibbs Farm on select Friday Mornings and Tuesday Evenings during the 2026 season. The outdoor projects change weekly usually planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, light landscape and orchard projects.

Whether you're interested in helping with our family-friendly daytime festival or the exclusive 21+ evening event, “A Night in Valhalla,” we have the perfect role for you.

Pre/Post-Festival Opportunities Marketing (Pre-Fest): Use your social media savvy and help distribute printed materials to promote this exciting event.

Pre-Fest Set-Up and Decoration: Assist in transforming the festival grounds and Mead Hall on Thursday afternoon, evening, or Friday before 6 PM. We need creative individuals who can use tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and ensure the festival looks amazing.

Post-Fest Clean-Up: Help pack up on Sunday after 4:30 PM or Monday morning if needed. This role requires lifting, organizing, and storing equipment until next year’s event. Great Northern Viking Festival Opportunities – 3.5 Hour Shifts

Parking: Direct guests to parking spaces while ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow.

Gate/Check-In: Validate tickets and manage guest entry. Volunteers should be comfortable handling tablets.

Grounds Crew: Maintain a clean and welcoming festival environment by restocking outhouses, emptying trash cans, and assisting campers.

Merch Booth: Sell Viking merchandise, handle credit transactions, and engage with festival attendees. Sales experience preferred.

Kids Area Helper: Supervise kids' activities and engage with families to ensure a fun and safe environment.

Spear Throwing Helper: Guide participants in this exciting Viking activity while ensuring safety and assisting with setup and cleanup.

Demo Area Attendant: Support live Viking demos by helping set up and guiding guests through these immersive experiences.

Information Booth Contact: Provide festival information, handle lost and found, distribute maps, and answer attendee questions.

Family Day 2026 is a cornerstone event of MNPOC Pride’s annual programming, focused on creating a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive space for LGBTQ+ people of color, youth, and families. Hosted in the heart of the community, this free public event brings together hundreds of attendees for a day of celebration, education, and resource-sharing.

The event includes live entertainment featuring local artists, a diverse range of community resource providers, health and wellness services including HIV testing and prevention education, youth-focused programming, and free food to reduce barriers to participation. Family Day prioritizes accessibility, cultural representation, and community healing, while fostering connections between attendees and essential services.

Through this event, MNPOC Pride aims to strengthen community bonds, increase access to critical resources, and create a visible, joyful space where LGBTQ+ people of color and their families are celebrated and supported.

This position supports basic needs delivery by preparing and packaging groceries for participants who are temporarily unable to access the Food Market in person due to access or safety barriers. Volunteers pack orders accurately and thoughtfully, following food safety and confidentiality guidelines that protect participant dignity, privacy, and choice. This role helps ensure equitable food access while preserving Neighborhood House’s in-person Food Market model.

Young Authors Conference (YAC) gives 4th-8th grade students the opportunity to learn from professionals with real writing experience. Students attend a keynote address and three interactive writing sessions led by local fiction and non-fiction writers. Students leave YAC with a greater passion to write and a new set of strategies and ideas with which to experiment.

Volunteers are needed to assist with lunch, guide students on campus, monitor the book fair and open mic, and ensure that students have a fun and exciting day! Volunteers can bring a student to participate for free.

Alliance Housing in a nonprofit affordable housing provider and developer. A large majority of our tenants are transitioning from homelessness or housing instability, in those cases we try to provide a welcome move-in baskets with some cleaning supplies and other home goods. Newport Library is a volunteer run library in the small river City of Newport, MN. This quaint community just southeast of St. Paul is one of the oldest communities in the Twin Cities Metro. The city boasts a 132-year-old Library. We invite you to become a part of this beautiful legacy of literacy and community support by becoming a Volunteer in our beautiful little library. 

Library Volunteers assist patrons with item check-out, computer use, scanning, printing, laminating, and most importantly being a resource. Volunteers are the heart of this lovely space. No prior library experience is necessary. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and willing to work alone. The primary job of the Volunteer is to be a friendly face.  Because we work with children and vulnerable adults, Volunteers must pass a background check including fingerprinting. The reward of serving this beautiful community is worth the process.

We are looking for a volunteer companion to accompany clients to appointments, assisting with errands as well as engaging in friendly conversations. There may be times when you're as to sit with a client and interacted with a favorite hobby or activity. Light housework may be needed at times.

Your Clerical and administrative stills will be greatly appreciated. The job would include answering phone calls, organizing files, scheduling appts, typing up documents, inputting information into our database, respond to calls and checking emails.
