Currently, some women come to the clinic and log into their virtual visit, others log on from home. We have added nursing staff so we can increase the number of women that we are seeing, which means more therapist needs. Volunteer: Bulk Room VolunteersManna Market, located in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, is one of the state’s largest food-rescue ministries. We recover surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, and farms—food that is still edible but would otherwise go to waste. Along with rescued food, we regularly receive free or very low-cost food through partnerships with other organizations and food banks. Each week our volunteers sort, pack, and distribute over 100,000 pounds of food, most of it rescued. Our mission is to be good stewards of the abundance God blesses this country with, build community through the distribution of rescued food, and provide opportunities for people to grow in the Christian faith. We recently expanded our model by strengthening partnerships with churches, schools, and community organizations that families already trust. Instead of relying primarily on families traveling to our location, we began delivering food directly to partner locations closer to where people live. Through this growing network of more than 35 community partners, Manna Market now helps reach over 4,000 families each week (varies by week, with over 5,000 being our highest). We’d love to have you serve with us in the Bulk Room! We’re especially looking for volunteers who can come consistently, as it helps build a rhythm and makes the process smoother for everyone. We are currently needing Monday and Wednesday mornings only. Tasks include packing produce into boxes, prepping and taping boxes, stacking, and loading onto pallets. Every role helps us serve our community well!

Volunteer: Sort Fresh Food for Families at Today's Harvest - Free Food MarketDescription Powered by Open Cupboard, Today’s Harvest depends on the dedication of volunteers like you to serve families in need. This role is perfect if you’re looking for a hands-on, active, and fun way to give back to your community! Today’s Harvest offers a fresh approach to food access. By rescuing food that might otherwise go to waste, we provide neighbors with a changing selection of fresh produce, bread, meat, and other staples. Each visit gives households a 1–2 day supply of nutritious food, helping families stretch their budgets. Guests are welcome to visit as often as needed. Open six days a week, Today’s Harvest is a bustling market that simply wouldn’t run without the support of our amazing volunteers. From stocking shelves to greeting guests, there’s always meaningful work to do—and every shift makes a real difference.
Food sorting plays a vital role in ensuring that families who visit Today’s Harvest receive healthy, safe, and high-quality food—all while helping reduce food waste in our community. Food sorting is the process of organizing and preparing rescued food so it’s safe, fresh, and ready to share with our community. When food donations arrive—often from grocery stores, food rescue partners, or community drives—volunteers help sort through the items to check for quality and safety. This includes: Separating food into categories such as produce, bread, meat, dairy, and dry goods. Removing items that are spoiled, damaged, or unsafe to distribute. Organizing market-ready food so it can be stocked quickly and efficiently. Composting, garbage or recycling items when appropriate. Requirements Volunteers must be age 15 or older Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 20 pounds Volunteers are required to wear close-toed shoesSchedule Mondays-Fridays: 10:00am - 12:00pm or 12:00 - 3:00pmLocations Today's Harvest Maplewood - 1740 Van Dyke St, Maplewood MN 55109 Today's Harvest Oakdale, 8264 4th St N, Oakdale, MN 55128 Nonprofit: Open Cupboard Description Powered by Open Cupboard, Today’s Harvest depends on the dedication of volunteers like you to serve families in need. Volunteer: Bilingual Wish GranterWish granters are essential to fulfilling each child’s wish. They work in teams of two or three and help the wish child determine their heartfelt wish. Wish granters create an exceptional wish experience through building a relationship with the child and their family. Wish children come from all different backgrounds and cultures, so with the help of bilingual wish granters, a wish child can communicate in a language that they are most comfortable with during the wish process! It also greatly reduces the stress for other family members. We welcome all applicants, but have a particular need for volunteers who can speak Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Oromo, and Arabic at any level of proficiency. ASL is also in demand. Training is provided and is flexible with your schedule. Thank you for your interest in helping kids with critical illnesses and their families.
