Community Paramedics welcome Sock Kits to have on hand in ambulances. In a ziploc bag place 2 grey/black tall tube socks. You decide how many you will donate/bundle based on your team budget.
These are used as prevention and education moments. When frostbite causes skin damage and loss of the capillary system, individuals may have to be admitted to our Level 1 Burn Center where their wounds can be treated. Community paramedics try to prevent the number of cases by engaging individuals where they are at and distributing these kits to unhoused individuals or those in need.
While we prefer deliveries, you can request a team member pick up from your office during normal business hours.
