- Wayfinding: directing visitors to the multiple levels of the venue, letting visitors know what can be seen there. Identifying restroom locations.
- Greeting: welcome any visitors who enter from the A Mill Artist Lofts. These would only be residents of the complex who already have access to the building
- Preventing access to A Mill Artist Lofts: Doors Open participants may only visit a designated section of the A Mill Artist Lofts where one can see the underground water power features. This volunteer will also be responsible for preventing participants from exiting into the rest of the residential building, redirecting them to the main entrance where they came in.
