Bring your corporate or community group and take part in this unique team building activity. Two volunteers and a Lyngblomsten staff member will team up to escort a Care Center resident (average age of 87!) to The Great Minnesota Get-Together on opening day, August 22nd. All of the residents will be in a wheelchair, have their own money and will be ready to have fun at the Fair!
Help us keep this Minnesota tradition going for our older adult residents.
Volunteers receive an admission ticket to the Fair, spend the morning with the group of volunteers and residents, and then can return to the Fair later if they choose, just remember to get your hand stamped. The volunteer and resident become Fair Friends for the morning, with the volunteer helping the resident navigate the Fair and participate in desired activities. You’ll share laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments as you explore the Fair together.
