Volunteer at summer camp! True Friends has a 50+ year history of providing high quality camping programs to children and adults of all abilities. Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie runs weekly day camps and residential camps June-August.
While our Twin Cities site is small, our staff and volunteers are creative and use the space wisely. We also explore the best the Twin Cities has to offer on day trips to places like the Science Museum, the community center pool, indoor playgrounds, and more.
Your job is pretty simple as a volunteer - HAVE FUN! Volunteering at camp is a great way for you to give back to the community while gaining valuable experience working with the population in a recreational environment. Your service brings our mission to life every day for the amazing individuals who come to camp. Volunteers arrive in the morning and get to hang out with campers all day. Feel free to stay for evening activities or go home and come back for more fun the next day!
- Ages 18+ or 16+ if with parent/guardian.
- Week-long commitment of Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- We encourage volunteers to have a passion for the population we serve.
- Meals will be provided.
- Students can earn 40 service learning hours for practicum and field experience requirements.
