You don't have to be a keynote speaker.
You don't have to have all the answers.
You just have to be willing to spend an hour or two helping someone who's trying to break into IT.
We're looking for professionals from all areas of technology—help desk, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, software development, data, project management, and more—to share what it's really like to work in the field. You might:
- Conduct a mock interview
- Attend a networking event
- Visit a classroom to talk about your career
- Answer questions and share what you've learned along the way.
This isn't a weekly commitment or a long-term mentoring program (introverts, we see you). We keep a list of volunteers and invite you when opportunities come up.
You decide what sounds interesting and what fits your schedule (and your social battery).
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can tell a student is, "Here's what I wish someone had told me."
