Position Summary
The Community Engagement Volunteer supports Reach for Resources by helping with projects that increase community awareness, engagement, and support for our mission. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, creative, and interested in gaining experience in nonprofit outreach, communications, and community engagement.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Projects may include:
- Assisting with community outreach and awareness initiatives
- Researching potential community partners and resources
- Supporting event promotion and engagement efforts
- Helping distribute information about programs, events, and volunteer opportunities
- Completing independent projects that support organizational goals
- Providing progress updates and communicating with staff as needed
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage projects
- Reliable and responsive to email communication
- Interest in community engagement, nonprofit work, or advocacy
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and internet research
