West Seventh Corridor Expansion Project Description: The project is focused on assessing the services and programming currently available through Neighborhood House in the West Seventh corridor/Highland neighborhood to determine the challenges, barriers and needs of the community.
Description: Volunteer would assist in on-the-ground outreach efforts to gather information from individuals and families within the West Seventh/Highland neighborhood. They may work independently or in a team and administer oral surveys to a number of households. May canvass neighborhoods or hand out surveys at events within the community. This volunteer will help in the efforts to better overall outreach done for these families in the future.
Duties:
- Attend orientation training to go over canvassing tips and survey script
- Set up information collecting tables at events within the community
- Take notes and collect responses from surveys
- Submit collected information along with the original documents to a volunteer supervisor
- Track canvassing history, including locations and information collected
