One-time volunteer opportunity as a notetaker (Age 18 +)

The Minnesota Literacy Council’s Diversity and Inclusion committee is holding listening sessions with our adult learners, volunteers and VISTA members. These sessions will ensure that constituent input is considered in shaping our organization’s initiatives, monitoring and evaluation.

We're looking for volunteers to take notes during the sessions. 

 

Responsibilities include:        

- Arrive on time

- Follow provided notetaking guidelines

- Take notes in provided template and computer

 

Qualifications:             

- Computer and typing skills to capture feedback electronically during session (computers will be provided)

- Good written communication skills

- Dependable, prompt and able to maintain confidentiality

- Ability to relate to and work with people from diverse backgrounds

 

Locations: Minnesota Literacy Council main office, 700 Raymond Ave, Suite 180, St. Paul, MN, 55114

OR Open Door Learning Center – Lake Street, 2700 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55406

 

Time Commitment: 2.25 hours.

Choice of two sessions:

  • Adult learners: July 30, 10 a.m-12 p.m. (arrive at 9:45) at Open Door Learning Center - Lake Street
  • National Service Members: July 30, 4:30-6:30 p.m. (arrive at 4:15) at Minnesota Literacy Council main office
