Come be inspired by what kids can accomplish as a judge at a FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST LEGO League tournament. We need both technical and non-technical judges to make Robotics tournaments a success. This fall, students in grades 4 to 12 will form Robotics teams to participate in these FIRST programs.
In Minnesota these talented kids will compete at an event organized by High Tech Kids. Join us to be inspired by these students. Following volunteer training in September - October, spend a full Saturday or Sunday of your choice in December through February judging teams at a High Tech Kids Robotics Tournament. Kids will explain what they learned and built through these FIRST programs. Judges ask questions and provide encouragement to teams during judging sessions, then collaborate with other judges to determine award winners.
Address is our office, but tournaments are held at various schools in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota.
Training is offered live in September - October, see our website for details https://hightechkids.org/volunteer-overview/training-volunteer/. New volunteers will be paired with an experienced volunteer at their first event. Please see our website to learn more about these exciting programs, the volunteer roles, and to see the full Tournament Schedule then sign up via our Volunteer Sign up page.
