Thanks for joining us at Frontenac State Park for a hands-on winter opportunity. Volunteers will support a "biochar" production process by hauling woody invasive species to an active kiln, managed by Great River Greening Staff. This outdoor task will be followed by an indoor seed-cleaning activity in the park's heated shed (with hot coffee and cocoa!) Both activities will support the park's efforts to restore a recently acquired parcel of land while creating a new trail system. (Please note: Schedule may be subject to changes due weather conditions. Registrants will be notified about conditions as the event approaches.)
All are welcome, any necessary training will be provided.
Once you have registered through GivePulse, organizers from Great River Greening will approve your registration and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears. If you have further questions, please contact vberrueta@greatrivergreening.org.
