Summary
The Volunteer Math Tutor support students/trainees in Goodwill’s Construction Training Program in the area of construction math skills.
Schedule & Time Commitment: Schedule is flexible – volunteers typically service 2-4 hours per week during regular business hours: Mondays-Fridays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Volunteer Duties
- Meet with Construction Instructor weekly to review math content to be covered in class and to report on student/trainee’s weekly progress.
- Meet with students/trainees one-on-one at the training facility and provide math tutoring.
- Provide respectful feedback to students/trainees on their progress.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Experience in the Construction Trades and/or teaching math.
