East Side Learning Center Board Member

East Side Learning Center (ESLC) is seeking applications for new board members who are dedicated to our mission “Unlocking each child’s potential through the foundation of reading”. ELSC’s board is made up of volunteers with a passion for closing the learning gap for high-risk students in grades K-3. According to the recent Minnesota Report Card, there has been a significant decrease in student reading test scores. Lack of literacy skills has become a crisis.
As a board member, you will be a critical ambassador for the organization, a strategic leader and voice in the continued efforts in closing the learning gap. Expected engagement for board members would be 6-7 two-hour board meetings per year, board committee participation, participation in fundraising activities and support of the Executive Director and staff.
